The Dartmouth Graduate Studies Office recently held a poster session featuring recent work by Dartmouth graduate students. Computer Science PhD student Keith Carlson was honored with one of five best poster presentation awards, for his work titled "A Quantitative Analysis of Writing Style on the U.S. Supreme Court." In this collaboration with Daniel Rockmore (Dartmouth) and Michael Livermore (University of Virginia School of Law), the authors examine the trends in style of writing by the justices of the Supreme Court.
