CS 1 and MATH 8, MATH 11, or MATH 13 are the prerequisites for all computer science programs per the updated degree requirements. Students of Classes '27, '28, and '29 may choose CS 1 and CS 10 as prerequisites. 

Some students get credit for these courses via high-school credit, or transfer credit, or by taking the placement exam. We recommend that you take these courses as early as possible, and definitely before declaring a CS Major, Modified Major, or Minor.
