Petra Taylor (Thayer, PI), Lorie Loeb (Co-PI), Laura Ray (Thayer, Co-PI), and Scott Pauls (Math, Co-PI) were awarded a $2.8M NSF Accelerating Discovery Award for their project "Infusing Data Science into Undergraduate STEM Education." The goals of the award are to offer students data science education without having to major in data science. In addition, there is an experiential learning aspect of the award. Working with a new Post Doc, the Digital Applied Learning and Innovation (DALI) Lab will create a new data visualization track to allow teams of students to create interactive data visualizations of data sets brought to us by partners from around the world.
