A team of researchers from Narf Industries and the Department of Computer Science were recently awarded a $1.8 million grant from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
Their proposal to apply previous research using formal language theory analyzing security vulnerabilities to interoperability of electronic health records was selected for funding under the ARPA-H Digital Health Security (DIGIHEALS) initiative, which supports innovative research that aims to protect the U.S. health care system's electronic infrastructure against hostile threats.
The Narf team is led by Michael Locasto, former computer science postdoctoral fellow and Prashant Anantharaman, Guarini '22. Professor Sean Smith, PhD candidate Ben Kallus, and Professor Emeritus and former CS Adjunct Professor Andy Gettinger make up the Dartmouth team.
Congratulations to the awardees!
