Apart from taking two courses in each of the three pillars, a CS Major is required to take three elective courses to gain better depth of knowledge in one or more of these pillars. We encourage students to talk to the undergraduate advisor and other faculty members to discuss which electives would be best suited for them.
Any course in (30-89) is an allowed elective course. Students are also allowed to choose one of these three electives to be a self-driven Reading Course (COSC 94), or a MATH course numbered 20 or above which is not a Math prereq (so, not MATH 22/24).
