The associate professor of computer science explains his research on computer graphics.
Wojciech Jarosz, an associate professor of computer science, explains his research on rendering and its applications. Rendering is an area of computer graphics that involves simulating how light bounces around in the real world to create photo-realistic images.
"What excites me about this area is that it's this interesting mix of math, computer science, and physics, but we're creating these physics simulations for artists to use," says Jarosz. "It's at the intersection between those two where a lot of interesting stuff happens."
